5th Gens with Motorized In-Dash Screens
Do you guys have any issues with the angle of the dash causing the screen to not fully motorize out? My Alpine cva-1005 has a hard time motorizing out. I thought that I may have a bad gear mechanism, but the screen moves just fine when it's not at that severe of an angle.
Any thoughts on this? If it matters, it's mounted using the Metra kit.

my guess is that if it's hitting anything, it's cause you mounted them in the wrong holes. mine sits comfy with no problems. i plan on making holes, and mounting it closer to being flat, but hey, it's winter, i'm not freezing my a$$ to do a job like that

Thanks for the input fellas, but I think that I have it figured out.
On these Alpines, when the screws that mount the unit are too tight, it causes pressure on the case and the screen has a hard time opening. This happened to me before in my Civic (yes I had a Civic , cheap and reliable so no flames
)
I don't have the screws too tight as I am having to use the mounting cage. The cage is pretty snug and I think that's where my problem lies. I'm going to pull the unit and see if I can get the mounting holes to somewhat line up so that I can scrap the cage.
Do all of you guys have your screens mounted using the factory holes in the factory mounting bracket?
