Your struts/springs pretty much is your suspension. Not sure what's left to "mess up" ?

If you go lower than 1.5 inches you might need to get some adjustable camber plates for your front struts (to get and keep a good front end alignment).

Other than that, you're really not messin up anything.

Does your dad have any mechanical background?... THe springs and struts are basically your whole suspension.. Being lowered can put some extra wear on a couple parts but nothing serious.. plus maxspeeds aren't very low and have a relativly soft spring rate. With maxspeeds you don't need to worry about camber, as already mentioned, just get an alignment when the springs settle and you'll be all set.

You dont need camber plates even when you drop your car with Tein springs (2.2 inches). Make sure you get aftermarket struts/shocks.

All it could do is alter your tread wear if you dont adjust the camber of the wheels. If ya installed it right and made the necessary adjustments, there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

If you lower your car excessively, you will put pressure on parts that may not be able to handle it. I needed some parts to be replaced after two years because of the lack of travel on the shocks(struts)....as long as the springs dont drop the car more than 1.5-2 inches, I think you should be fine...make sure you keep your struts in good shape...if you drive with worn out struts, YOU WILL ruin your car....im not a mechanic, but this is from experience of tinkering with different heights on my max with different struts...thats all...

Too much lowering will wear out parts faster.

yeah sure springs and shocks are all there is (cough sarcasm cough)

it won't hurt anything unless you offroad it.

I'm iffy about dropping my max cause I couldn't enjoy driving my car if it was stiffer-

Question: can the lowering springs be added to just the front ? (keep stock in rear) My **** droops down lower now w/ my sound system- so the front gap bothers me

you've got to buy a set of 4 springs anyways. even on stock max's (without a sound system in the rear like yours) the front has a larger wheel gap. that is why all brands of front springs drop MORE that the rear.

if you are going to do it...just install both. the new lowing springs will drop more in the front - to help even out your drop.
