Rattling and Crunching Sounds? Please Help.
Need help on 2 issues for my 2K 5-Sp:
Occassionally after I shift into 2nd or 3rd during heavy acceleration, there is a metal rattling sound. The best way to describe the sound is if you stick something into a fan while it's running it makes a funny sound. It's not what I would call pinging though, it's more of a rattle and I have to let up off the gas completely because the car is barley accelerating. I use 93 Octane gas and my check engine light has never come on.
The second issue is sometimes after my car has been sitting for a while, when I
start to drive, going in either reverse or forward, I hear a crunching sound as if I ran over a paper bag. It usually only does this once, but occassionally it will occur in stop and go traffic too.
Help is greatly appreciated.
