Auto trans problems

My auto tranny is acting really gay. When ever i give it any type of gas at all it slips and acts as if it is in neutral!! that is in any gear and it doesnt ever go into 4th. If you where in my situation what would you do. I really want a manual, but i live in alaska. Also how much are qualife differentials or what ever they are called. Thanks

i would assume you are out of the 36k/3 yr warranty but i would take it to nissan regardless to have the at least the solenoids in the tranny replaced. you may also want to look at having them replace the tcm (transmission control module). if its out of warranty it will come out of your pocket but hopefully the slipping has not caused any damage.

There is a TSB out of the shifting between 1-2 and 2-3 I believe, but having read the TSB fairly thoroughly I can't say that I noticed "acting gay" as one of the symptoms.
If you still have your power train warranty (under 60k miles) you should be fine, they should be able to replace the solenoids, if that doesnt help then they will also replace the TCM. Again, I'm not sure if it will help with the gay part, but you never know.
