I'm so hard up for eyelids, that I think I would just buy whatever they made. lol
I don't know EXACTLY what I would like, so I don't want to say how to make it, but I WOULD buy what leftcoast made - I think it'll look a lot better when its color matched.

LEFTCOAST: Think you'll be able to have a product to sell by middle of January (whatever the style)? I'm gonna paint the rest of my body kit and want to paint the eyelids at the same time.

Edit: it seems they will kill a lot of output from the highbeams as well.
Ya, it really looks like it will chop the top of the high beam output. I don't mind it, but wouldn't pay money for it either.

I hope the eyelids will be modified, and keep up the good work, guys.

Not for me, but hey:

1)keep that design
2)Copy it again in fiberglass- then trim to make the IS300 look
3) Make a few other designs

Offer org members variety! Good work and credit to you for making the effort and taking the initiative

There was a poll not too long ago where people could vote on what type of eyelid they wanted. A large majority voted for the M3 eyelid. IMO that design did not fit the Max, but that is what everyone wanted. Now when it comes out it looks like azz and nobody wants to buy it. Left Coast did what a majority of people who participated in that poll wanted.

For me, keep in clean and simple and not so noticable. The yellow IS300 on umnitza's site is a perfect example of what we should try to achieve with Maxima eyelids.

Yeah, I'm not liking them. IMO, they suck! A person in Chicago was going to make them and they look a lot better! Sorry but its my opinion.

That a$$ in Chi. that was making them showed a design which actually motivated ppl to pay up $50+ without any sign of the seller being legit -- the design was the straight across look, a design that'll most likely sell better than what was voted upon.

Votes are one thing (they don't cost money), actual dollars paid out in advance are another & speak more to the point that the IS300 look would probs sell better.

At least these guys are busting out something new and different. If they can put out a product like that, I can't imagine a straight edge would be very hard for them. For those who don't like it, don't buy it....but keep your comments to yourself. I'm just happy someone is making something for our maximas...it's RARE. So STFU.

everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Some people like it, some people don't. If people like the eyelid, buy it. If people don't like the eyelid, don't buy it.

These have not gone into production so there's nothing to buy yet. What we showed above is a Fiberglass prototype.

Everyone IS entitled to their opinion. However, the purpose of this thread is to build interest and get suggestions on what to change/leave on this product. We appreciate those that have contributed, especially with photoshopping and other images. Anyone else?

As for the other people who were supposedly "making" these, where are they now? Where is your money? Where is the product? We have been working on this project out of our own pockets and on our own time, at no cost or risk to you, the potential buyer.

I'm certainly interested in some eyelids. I was among those who got scammed by Jitek recently....a hard lesson learned.

Seeing as you guys at LeftCoast are org. members I would not have any problem buying from you. I would prefer a more conservative straight across type design, though. Keep us posted on your progress and what the final product will look like. I too, thank you for your efforts to make these available.

The design from CTi was basically the same as the IS300 w/a small portion cut out so that the clearance light isn't completely hidden. Also it started at the line where the hood & bumper meet. Never saved a pic of it though & obviously their site doesn't have anything on it anymore.

If I had those headlights I'd have you guys make me some carbon fiber eyellids to go on my black max. personally i think that would like nice. it would sure stand out as well. That's what I'm about with my car. Look clean and sharp. Those could work on a black car. Anyone wanna photoshop?

Just make a replica of the IS300 eyelid and make it fit our cars.

What I was Aiming for on the left side Edit was:
  • An arch over the High and Low Beams
  • The Parking Light Partialy Visible
  • A small "icicle" Seperating the HIGHs and LOWs from the parking lights.

I would just get rid of the "icicle" between the parking light and the high beam - just have a smooth line right across.

The IS300 ones are sick, but then you have to pay to get them painted, which is $$$$. I'll stay stock.

PS- I really dislike the ones that were designed, but to each their own. There are probably quite a few people here that will buy them.

This is an image of CTi imports. But I think it looks better with the extended tip. So here it is photoshopped.

That looks really good as well as the chop from MaximaPolack. This is more grimacing and looks meaner. Either one I'd get. LeftCoastTuning, make these and you've got a buyer right here.
