Like I said, we'll be meeting later today to discuss pricing. Originally, the prices were going to be over $100 for paintable fiberglass and higher for carbon fiber). As it stands currently, I'm trying to get it as low as possible for you guys, especially for those who buy the first batch...

Keep in mind that LeftCoast Tuning isn't making any $$ off of this deal. We just enjoyed being able to help design a new product and hook up our fellow .org'ers...

I really hope you can get the prices lower than $100. $100 seems way too high for this. I understand that a lot of time and energy went into making this, but that'll all be wasted if the price is too high. How about around $50-75?

Since these eyelids will be purchased directly from the manufacturer, LeftCoast Tuning has no control over pricing. All we can hope for is to negotiate the best price possible.

These products are very high quality and unless someone wants to buy 100 at a time, the profit margin is pretty slim as well.

So these will have a carbon fiber weave look, correct? Looking like all carbon fiber parts... and will be paintable, right? Also, how hard is it to cut carbon fiber without cracking it, if I wanted to make adjustments to your design?

Yes, that is correct. The 1st batch will be Genuine Carbon Fiber (the weave look). It is paintable if you like, and you can even reshape it (dremel, sand, or whatever else) if want.

I have been working with Patrick on this from day one. I am happy to make this happen for you guys, and you all should give Patrick a big thunbs up for Donating his headlights so I could make a perfect Fit eyebrow.

With that said, instead of cutting it is best to use a fine sanding dremmal drum to get the countours you would like, finish with a fine grit paper to smooth the edges.

Thank you for all the support,
Mike Roberts

How are they attached? If I were to attach them, and then, say 6 months down the road, change my mind, would the headlights have any visible signs that something was attached to them and then taken off?

I use automotive grade 3M grey trim tape along the front and top of the inside of the eyebrow. But first I would clean the headlights with alki wipe and use a heat gun or hair dryer as I installed the to assure they would come off. As far as taking them off, use a heat gun or hairdryer and warm it up and slowly lift it off, Use some go gone for the residue and your good to go..

Just to let you guys know, unfortuanately these prices are non-negotiable due to the costs involved in making them.

If you take a look around, you'll find out these prices are actually very reasonable and very much in line with the cost of other similar high quality products.

I'd buy them in a heartbeat, but I'm planning of painting mines so if I gotta go carbon fiber, then I will.

LeftCoast, can i paint carbon fiber without any special prepping/paint?

curious....

what is the point of these?

to make the huge head lights look smaller?

head lights...

smaller....

Just like a breast reduction!

breast reduction --> bad.

big-uns --> good.

VQ - its all good man.

Actually i think eyelids are to kind of make the car/headlights look more aggressive. Its kinda like when you're made or show aggression, your eyes get smaller and squinty - well sorta. I guess thats the intent with eye lids.

If not.... beats the shiet out of me what the point is. I don't really care cause I like the look of it.
