These pics are of the fiberglass prototype. It's not paint-matched, just primered and painted flat white.

Fitment on it is excellent, and you'll see from the pictures that it wraps around the headlight too.

These eyelids were designed to give the Max an "aggro" look. It was also designed without any sharp points/edges, to prevent breakage or getting snagged on anything.

We wanted to gauge interest out there, and also take suggestions on (key word) minor adjustments to it...

Personally, I don't think those are the one's I want. They don't Seem to Agressive to me. If it had less "I-Cycles" then I might buy them. It's too "Frost the Snowman " for me.

Sorry

Those are FUGLY! Instead of circus arches with points at the bottom, the bottom should just go straight across. It would give it a mean look instead of looking like a cracked out hooker with to much runny eyeshadow on.

Sorry about hatin' your product, I just think a straight line would look better. I'll post picks of I think looks good when I get home next week. It's all a matter of opinion.

I think the bottom of the arches are too extreme or sharp.

i like the overall look to it. however, its a little to drastic and reminds me of Batman. I would like to see it a bit more subtle and without the drastic tips. i applaud the efforts overall

I believe it would be a step in the right direction to cut it off at the hood / grill line instead of running down. However, i would like to see them installed on a black car. Something tells me that they would look good. I fixed the pic a little to just give an idea.

Its great to see a new product come out for the 2k2. But these aren't working for me. Why in the world didn't you guys just go with a proven design like the 2k2-2k1s have? Oh well...i guess if the price is right I can grind the points off there and try to make something out of it.

Edit: it seems they will kill a lot of output from the highbeams as well.

I'm with redstradic and Hamy, 100%. I think that if they were a proven, tried and true design (pretty much a straight piece with maybe a slight wideness variation at either end) would work best. I think these are too extreme for the lines of the car. Just my humble opinion. Effor is, of course, applauded.

I feel sad for leftcoasttuning. Even though the eyelids may not be good-looking, but at least give them applause for their effort. I'm with everyone here. The eyelids should be made straight across, starting from the grill line to just above the parking light.

I hope the eyelids will be modified, and keep up the good work, guys.

We went off what was voted on in an older thread. The two most popular styles of currently existing eyelids were the ones for the Lexus IS300 which have the points, and the 3-series BMW which has cut-off points.

We appreciate all constructive suggestions from potential buyers...keep it coming. We'll respond to these ideas after we get enough helpful input.

Thanks for the support!

Also, A+ for effort, but I don't care for the shape at all.

I'd have to see a straight eyelid, or one with cut-offs, but generally, I don't care for eyelids at all.

Yeah, that's the first thing that popped into my head was Batmobile! It's just a little too much for my tastes.

I think they would look badass on a black max too. How do you put them on? hopes it has nothing to do with superglue.

Props for the hard work, but I prefer the straight look eyelids (similar to VW/Audi and BMW ones...)

Like most of the ppl in here, A+ for effort, F for looks. I also think making them straight across the light would make the car look aggressive.

Maybe something like that with a small "cutout" so the clearance lights aren't completely blocked out by the lid?

Straight across would also look great w/the angel eyes as it would hide the part at the top where the circles don't meet.

They should do this! Look at the Passanger side Light compared to the Driver Side.

This is the way it should be.

Ignoring the Black line some of you might see, WHO LIKE'S MY DESIGN MORE?!

I would have to backup leftcoasttuning on this one. I WAS going to try and make a set and judging by the other thread, the majority of votes were for the IS300 look that looks SIMILAR to leftcoast's design. I guess I just want to caution fellow members from bashing his design too much because he was going off of what WE VOTED ON!!! I would love a set of some type of eyelids and want to encourage leftcoast to continue their efforts.

I personally don't like it, but beg that leftcoast continues this project.

Me too but this is the wrong thing to sell. (in my opinion). I would be glad to buy a set if it looked somewhat like my edited picture.

Maximapolak,

did you photoshop the picture? It looks better, but still not straight enough like the IS300 eyelids.
Just make a replica of the IS300 eyelid and make it fit our cars.
