Ripped Seat

The stitching on my 2001 Max's seat is beginning to pull apart. I have a picture but don' know how to post one. Anybody else experienced this problem and if so how did you fix? I asked a "swiss fix" guy who travels from dealership to dealership about this and he said that the part that is tearing is not the leather so I would need to find a whole new section of the seat like that and have him sew it in. It's the vinyl section on the bottom and back of the driver side seat.

Yes I had this on my 2k1. The driver's seat bottom was replaced in warranty. The stitching was coming loose and there was a small crack in the vinyl.

I had the same 3 times on my car! I have a 2001 SE AE, and on the drivers seat on the bottom part of the seat, on the left side, the leather cracked, TWICE!!! Both times it was covered by Nissan Canada, becaus eit was still under the 3year/60000 km warranty. The third time was the leather on the back back of the drivers seat.

Dont let Nissan bull$hit you, because it IS warranty work, and be calm and persistant about it! PLUS you get 1 year/20000 km warranty on the warranty work!
