Surging

Hey Guys! I decided to clean (TB Cleaner from Pep Boys) the throttle body on my 2K1 a few weeks ago and started to get some surging when idling or parked. It doesn't do it all the time but enough to annoy me. It surges anywhere between 1K - 3K rpms. One time when I was parked and the car decided to surge I got out of the car and pushed the butterfly plate towards the closed position to see if it would do anything and the car stopped surging. I decided to turn the car off and let it rest for a few hours to see if the butterfly plate was not closed completely for some reason and it seems like it was closed. My car is out of the warranty period but I'm not getting an SES light. The car feels like its lost a little acceleration and some high end. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Thanks in advance

Steve

Decided to bump this up and see if this would be related to the MAF going bad? Anyone have any ideas?
