Injen Intake and the filter that comes with

A few of the people I have talked to about the Injen intake said that they replaced the filter that comes with it. How many people have replaced the filter that came with the Injen Intake and why? Is it not a K&N that comes with it? Do you feel that it doesn't flow enough or something. It would have to be really small to be restrictive so whats the deal.

i dont' really have a technical answer for you other than i simply changed what i considered to be a generic filter for the k&n and i, along with asu174, felt the same difference. as an example, if i'm in traffic, and cars move up, when i move up, it seemed to have accelerated noticably faster. asu174 agreed with me.

that's pretty much all i can say. i changed mine at 15k, put the injen on at 5k.

I had the stock Injen filter on for about 5 months. It looks like it was made by K&N. It is a bit small, though. Last month I switched to the K&N RU-2820. (thanks for the tip, Andy) It has a lot more surface area and seems to allow more air through.
