Have Magnaflow tips? Step inside pls.

I am interested in gettting Magnaflow tips for my 2k, but have a couple quick questions...
1. Did you get the double wall 3" (35122) or single wall (35131)?
2. Does anyone have close-up pics posted of their various types (please tell me which one)....esp. from behind and from side...

thanks!!!!

Check my site as well. I have a lot of close pics. I have the single wall pipes 35131. I thought about getting the double wall tips, but didn't want to spend that much money. If you get the double wall tips, please post pics so I can see what they look like.

Yeah those look really good...don't think I can justify the extra $$ for the double-wall....

You might also try the "hooker headers classic european slash cut" tips. I put those on my third gen, and they look pretty nice. You can get resonated/non resonated also.

I like the magnaflow too, but I didn't know about them back then.

They were kinda dirty that day, but here's a link to a pic:

I got them from Jeg's:

maybe i'm just looking at that wrong, but aren't those Hookers a single inlet with dual tips? 5 gens have 2 inlet pipes...so we need 2 seperate tips - not one that splits into 2 tips. maybe i'm seeing that link wrong - sorry if i am.

For the AE's out there it's a HUGE difference. The stock tips that come with the AE's are absolutely pathetic. Take a look at the stock one's and then compare to the one's above.

Glad I found this thread. Those tips make the Anniversary Edition a whole lot better. Kinda make the stock exhaust look like a aftermarket. Anyone know where I can purchase it online for cheap?

Should sound just like stock....they are just single-wall tips....can't see how they would change the sound.

Don't get me wrong....I just ordered the tips, but there's nothing in the design that would make them louder than stock, since they are still going to weld on to the stock tip stubs....

As to the 3.5", from what I have read you cannot do 3.5" tips because they are too wide and will hit each other (if you are using stock muffler), also don't think they fit in the cutout on the bumper.

Maganaflow also has a 3" double wall tip, though I don't know if anyone has gotten them.....if you like double-wall, get those so we can all see what they look like!

You looking for new full exhaust or just tips? YOu could probably get a muffler with 3.5" tips....If you're looking for new full exhaust, check out the new one by Frankencar.....looks TIGHT and the price is outstanding....

I received my Magnas (35131) today. Ordered it from A-1performance. Had to bite the bullet and pay for shipping. Well I guess it's a trade off. Nice weather year round and high cost of shipping.

Just out of curiousity how much did you guys pay to have it installed? It shouldn't take that long right?

Thanks to fishhouse for the recommend and everyone for the input!

Cool! I'll get it on sometime next week. I'll take it to the shop where my friend got his catback installed.

Thanks!

Rust On Magnaflow Tips

I got the Magnaflow tips installed last summer and already I'm seeing some rust on them. Otherwise they look very nice.
