Btw- You didnt make the poll wide enough for the $ range on how much spent. MANY of us are well over $5K, including myself.

Maybe you should have it set at 2K or less, 2-5K, 5-10K, 10-15K, and hell even 15K on up many have spent. Some even double that and then some.

Tring to limit myself to around $500 a year (not including new tires, etc...) but probably will be more like $1K a year.

Well, according to my Microsoft Money spreatsheet, in 2003 alone, I spent $7,498 on auto "maintenance". This includes all mods, parts, repair, oil, etc. It doesn't include gas or the payment itself.

My last Max I spent over $10,000 on.

I must be in the 4000$ so far, but you know what, it's not over yet, I guess with the Turbo project another 6-8000$ is going to go in there, but this is pocket change compare to if I would have bought an M5.

Cheers

Had the car since April 29th... lets see, might as well do a mod calculation, in order of appearance:

Tint - $180
Stereo w/install - $650
Muffler w/install - $135
Clear corners - $50
FSTB - $50
Intake - $190
Drop w/install - $550
DDE's - Eh.. secret price, so I'll leave it out

Grand Total: $1805 in about 8 months. Wow.. didn't realize it was that much. Factor in oil changes, car washes and such, and it's about $2000 in "upkeep" on top of the monthly payment. I have slowed down since I've dropped the car, with only DDE's going in (and I got hooked up, so I don't really count it). Been about 2 months since any mod purchasing, so I guess it's all good for now

I did this once in another thread a while back. It was over $8k at that point. Now, it's more like $11-12k and still climbing.

Modding is a disease and I have a terminal case of it.

I voted for $1000 to $5000, but its more like $5,000 to $6,000 in the past 2.5 years on my 2K GXE 5spd when I think about it. Stereo, Suspension, Wheels, Brakes, and Tint is where it went. No engine mods yet, as I find the power adequate for my needs.
