Long Trip: Chicago - Edmonton - Calgary - Edmonton - Chicago

Just got back from a 4500 mile trip, Chicago to Edmonton to Calgary to Edmonton to Chicago. My 2001 Max was great during the whole trip, even starting right up in -24 F weather with no block heater and parked outside.
- Only problem was the PIAA Xtreme White headlight bulbs went out at different times during the trip.
- Another thing to note is that the gas mileage varied due to different brands of gas or maybe due to the cold, anywhere from 275 to 425 miles on one tank of gas.

Just wanted everyone to know how proud I am of my Maxima.

Wow, 4500 miles. How long did it take you to drive that?

Wow. Thats a long trip man. I took my Max on a trip from Nashville to Montreal and back in May of '02; only 3 months after I got it. It behaved beautifully. Good car, huh

Just driving time from Chicago to Edmonton was 25 hours, with staying at a hotel along the way, it took a total of 33 hours. We went prepared for the boredom, we had 2 laptops showing movies(poor man's mobile dvd system), 1 gameboy, and a discman for music.

Took us 23 hours each way when we went to Montreal in 2002. Last year we rented a van and made it straight through in a little over 24. Straight through to and from. Not fun. Gonna take my roommates girlfriends '03 Accord when we go this May. Not puttin the Max thru that again.
