Review for ebay catback on 2k2

Ok so this is the exhaust i ordered for my freinds 2k2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2449363088

Its was fairly easy to put on and we only had alttile fitment problem over the back axel part but i think its just how the maxima is, the exhasut is realy well made and all the hangers are in the perfect place. Now with a y-pipe, high flow cat and this cat back the car sounds nice, not ricy but it pops at high rpms alittle. In the end i recomend this exhaust to anyone who doesn't want to spend big bucks on a greddy or anything like that.

Great price, I don't think you should not pay anymore than 200 dollars for a catback.

That exhaust in only 2 1/4" piping. Most aftermarket catbacks (Greddy, Cattmann and Frankencar) are 2.5" piping.

I saw that setup last week on ebay, but wasn't overly excited about the big canister looking muffler. Can you take some pics of this on your car and post them? Thanks for the review btw.

ill try to post some pics soon, the piping is big enough cause hes not going boost. And i wonder were the seller gets these things from cause the little badge on the bottom of the muffler has japan writing and says like top speed or something, kinda weird but owell.

Yea i'm with SEmy2K2go, i had seen that and was curious to see what it finally sold for. I too am not a big fan of the single canister style exhaust for maximas. Glad someone from here got it though, and for such a good price. Would like to see pics whenever possible.

I was eyeballing that as well as the Greddy Evo ($439) and SP exhausts ($475) that have been on Ebay for about the past month (no bids).

Personally, I'm willing to pay the $439 for the Evo ($200 less than retail) but, I'm not too certain I'll be keeping the Max given my current tranny slip issues.

i got one very close to that off ebay, and it was made by obx. the can wasn't the bad part...the bad part was the fact that it had a silencer in it that you cant remove! it looks rediculous. i am lookin for just the axle back portion, cause the one i have is horrible looking. as for quality, i am very impressed. nice welds and good quality ss. all the hangers were in the right places too. i was happy for 200 shipped.

I usualy stick to name brand thing but some thing like a catback doesn't matter to me . i guess everyones diffrent, i heard a greddy on my setup before and it sounded kinda ghey, even some people with greddy said the setup on my 96 sounded better. The y-pipe changes the complete sound.
plus not everyone wants to spend 500$4 on a exhaust and their parents might not be as nice as ayour.

can you chop off the big canister exhaust and wield the stock muffler to the piping? It shouldn't really affect anything, should it?

i got the silencer out and it sounds really nice....very mellow, but may get a little annoying after a while. you definitly know its there now, but it isn't ricey loud. its just more muscular. very happy now
