2k2 hid help

Recently i installed a set of 2k2 hids in my 2k1. I am sure that i did everything right, b/c the lights works fine. But i did notice a annoying problem.

Everytime i go over a bump, my passsenger hid seems to flicker. The driver side is fine, no problem what-so-ever, only the passenger one. I checked the wires, reconnected them and made sure the everythings is secure. I dont know what could be the problem. I did loosen the bolts that holds the tabs, so i could give it some moving room and not be so stiff. I dont know what could be the problem.??

Could there be a loose wire anywhere?? I am sure the every wire that i have connected was secure.... I know that flickering of the bulb everytime i got over a bump can not be good for the bulb... it's doesnt turn off or anything.. it just flickers for a sec and it's okay..

im worried and confused.. can anyone help please....

The loosened bolts could be a factor.

Ya check the bolts, also make sure nothing got wedged under the headlight enclosure? Make sure it sits perfectly flat in other words. Any small bump or lump could allow a bit of movement

did you install the clips or not? if you dont install the clips they will bounce on you. i had to break out the white stock ones and put in the new clips and its solid as a rock! if you installed the clip, then i would take out the HID bulb that is flickering and put it back in just to double check that it was not loose or sitting incorrectly inside the headlight.

Sounds like a fitment issue and not so much a mechanical one.

btw your car looks tight!

make sure the actual connection to the bulb is good. cold weather can also have something to do with it.. common problem no universal solution.

Just like Berto said, it could be loose connection. It could be outside or inside the housing. When I first installed mine, I only used butt connectors and sometimes the turn-signal quit working. Since then, I soldered the connection and used shrink tubing and it's all good now.

You may also want to check that the plug from the ignitor is securedly plugged into the bulb.

I also have a slight flickering problem with my HID lights I recently installed. But unlike naerok, my problem only comes when I complete a left turn with the left turn signal light used. When I complete the turn, the turn signal arm returns back to the neutral position, in which during this time, the both HIDs would flicker for a brief moment. This only occurs about half the time when I do left turns with the signal light used. The weird thing is, when I make right turns with the signal light, no flickering occurs. Does anyone have an idea as to why this occurs? Could there be something wrong with my turn signal arm mechanism? Thx.

I got the clips...The headlight sits firm in there.

No, i didnt solder the wires. I just used wires connectors.

Did this also.

I rechecked the connections again, and they are good. Im gonna have to solder the wires, but never did that before.

Also check you ground
If i didnt ground it properly, what would happen??

What do you mean by is everything tubed? Does that mean the wires should be covered by something??

after i connected the wires together, i put tape around the connections and then i used wire loom to cover the wires so they are not exposed and to make it look like it came from factory. if the connections are not loose, i would check to see if the bulb is sitting properly in the housing and is not loose where it plugs into. as far as the ground goes, i used a ring terminal that the bolt goes through and then you just connect the wire to it and tighten down the bolt.
