Front End Noise
Front End Noise
I was wondering if anyone out there has come across this problem I am having and could possibly help me out with it. I have just purchased a 2001 SE with 29000 miles on it and love it. There is a pronounced howl from the front end ,passenger side at 45 mph and higher even when clutch is disengaged.
Thanks,Mark

It could be the wheel bearings. My car had a howling/roaring noise coming from the rear wheel area and was especially noticeable on the highway with a smooth surface otherwise the sound is drowned out by the wind noise and radio.
It turned out to be the wheel bearings and I'm getiting it fixed tomorrow at the dealership.
Take it to a shop and ask them to check out your wheels and axle area.
