coilover noise fixed

I finally got the damn coilovers fixed. After some piddling around I finally found the problem was a broken strut bearing. This is what was causing all the popping noise. After fixing it i took my car for a spin and i must say these things ride very quiet and pretty smooth for coilovers. I'll post some new lowered pics this weekend

I found the same problem with one of my bearings when I installed my Cattman's. Thing was shredded to bits. My mounts may be worn too causing some squeakage still...

True coilovers are a spring strut combo where you can adjust the ride height

ah!!!. so it WAS the strut bearing. don't wanna take credit, but didn't i tell you that stupid POS piece may have been the cause to all this?!?! you'd think that of all the pieces, they'd avoid making things of such cheap quality, especially in your suspension.

What do these strut bearings look like? And under what circumstances did you hear the noise?

I am wondering because I currently have AGX and H&R combo with 18" wheels. Whenever I go over a slight bump I hear thumping noise from front. I am not sure if this has anything to do with bearings. And these AGX's are modified from 4th gen (not Cattman modified) to fit 5th gen.

i noticed it after every time i turned my wheel my spring woulding make a popping noise and was not turning smoothly. What you described is the same sound as my old setup made(progress/stock struts).

I hear thumping noise when I go over potholes but not when I go over bumps.

Is there any remedy for this? Is my AGX set to soft or shot? I am thinking maybe it is set too soft because it sounds like the wheel assembly is sling shot to the ground when going over bump and potholes at moderate speed (~40mph) and the tires are slapping the road.... Any ideas?
