Guess who's back, back again. Maxine's back. Back again...

it was only time that I would join the Nissan ranks again...

History Lesson:
2000, I bought a 2000 Maxima GXE 5spd. Autocrossed it and did some drag racing. Best times from the drag strip were 14.80s@95~mph. Autocrossing, it was typically 8 seconds behind my DM CRX.

This past sunday, my daily driver that replaced the GXE was stolen.

Car shopping I went. I've been always looking at 2000+ maximas, the 2002-2003s i kept finding were always ex-rentals...so...

Found a 2000 SE automatic with sunroof for $13.8K with 67K miles. It is in absolute perfect shape except brake noise (dealer will fix). This price was the best I've seen in Vegas for any 2000 Maximas and considering the shape of the car (and knowing it's not an ex-rental) sold me on it.

Best of all, I kept all the expensive mods from my old GXE (ie, wheels/tyres, springs and RSB).

this time, the only "appearance" mod will be the wheels since they are mammoth 18s that weigh entirely too much. Everything else will serve a function,

I'll post pics up later tonite after I get everything installed.

and, it's noticably slower than my old GXE But, that's ok, because my race car is plenty fast for me and I plan on getting a GSXR750 sometime in the near future. Woot!

ps. it took me some time to remember my stupid passwork/username, ha!

you know, I figured, Vegas is getting worse and worse for traffic... and i already got my toy (the CRX)... i don't need to be driving myself insane (pun intended).

plus, the sportbike in a few months might have fullfill the other need for speed.

I 100% understand. I was just there for 3wks. over the "holiday" break and I'll be there this weekend. I know the traffic nightmare you're referring too.

I fuking hate Vegas traffic anywhere near the strip!

i know, i know... i shoulda got something better... but, for as cheap as I got this car... there isn't anything out there that is just as good, except maybe an older vette/camaro.

what's worse is, the CRX is still the fastest of the three.

hey bro, what happened with the S2K? I saw you hit something? and get rid of that maxima already. get a CRX. can be made twice as fast for half as much! or at least a porsche (those should be plentiful in the land of the ****)

What is the difference between the two cars in your sig? Just curious because they look like the same car to me, but one side says winter and the other says summer.

No, not even close. The worst part of Vegas is the strip later on at night. You have a lot of idiots wandering in front of traffic, plus there's just an assload of people there too. I used to wander up about every other weekend when I lived in Lake Havasu, and it'll be nice to be close again. 6 more months...

Seattle traffic is horrible wherever you go, and the drivers have about half the IQ of any other major city I've been in. My Maxima did get hit five times in five months, and every single incident was the other driver's fault because they just did something stupid or weren't paying attention.

Welcome back Kam. How's Adam doing? Haven't seen him around in awhile.

IMO, $13.8K is a little expensive for 67k 2000 maxima. Is it at least fully loaded?

Haha, you read my mind. Cool pic though! I guess you'll be causing trouble on the org again. It seems lots of the old guys are gone...

S2000 update: That was an old pic. The S2000 was sold as of last Friday. I'm a 2 car man again.

I'm looking for a beater/racecar/tuner. Interested in a manual Maxima (any year except 6th gen), 240sx, DOHC Honda -CRX, Integra, Civic Si, Prelude-, or a Suby. I've got a WTB thread in the for sale section, no bites yet...

Email me more pics.

The winter pic has my 18" BMW ///M wheels while the summer pic has the OEM 19" forged rims (both sets of wheels weigh about the same). Both pics are the same car.

I thought it was something with the wheels, but they both have the same spoke pattern so I ruled that out. lol

Looks like you spent all your money on the car and not the camera.

Ouch, actually I just played with the colors in photoshop. I doubt there is any modern camera that will take photos in that manner.

Here you go:

Still, I'm looking into a decent SLR. My 3mp Canon blows chunks.

Yeah...Team Bukkake has been having A LOT of fun at the track events the past few months.
Collectively, we've been eating up most of the competition as well. You should get back here
and join the team so we can start racing for points and prizes.
