Homemade Eyelids

Here are a few pics of my GELs (Ghetto EyeLids). All I used was electrical tape. It looks bad azz from a distance, but when you get close you can tell that it's just black tape, as you can see by the pictures. You can also see them HERE.

I hope the adhesive from the tape doesn't screw up your HID's. It would suck to pull that tape off and find haze. Otherwise it looks good.

Use black vinyl next time, you'll like it better. I used to vinyl up all the cars around here from taillights to windshields to racing stripes, oh man those were the days, RICE!

But I do like the eyelids you made.

please take the tape off your car... ...if you saw that on a honda you'd be screaming 'rice'

as people have pointed out they make black vinyl that'll do the same and will look better up close. Now that you know what it'll look like, drop the $10 for the vinyl and do it right.

i do remember someone making the eylids from magnetic tape. The magnetic tape was just thick enough to look real and it was sticky on one or two sides, and attached it on one side with the tape, and painted the other side... looked pretty good...
