Question on high Beam
Question on high Beam
I have a 2001 Max SE and i've noticed that my high beams have stopped working. First i thought it was the filament that burnt out( 2001 have only one bulb)...but being in Canada we need Daylight running lights running at all times, which use high beam filaments at low wattage..AND THEY WORK FINE!!!!!!!!!!! SO what could be the problem?
It's most likely your "lighting switch", ie the stalk you push/pull for HIGH beams or Flash-to-pass. It could also be a faulty "Daytime Light Control Unit", but I doubt it.
Basically, when your daytime lights are on, they use a ground directly from the DLCU, however when you switch the stalk for high beams and/or flash-to-pass, you're not getting ground through the lighting switch.
Hopefully, it's replaceable withOUT replacing the whole combination switch.
