I asked him where he got this. He replies, "so what are you trying to say...I know what your trying to say, but i wanna see you write it."
Funny how guilt brings out a defensive attitude.

Yeah I think it's quite obvious... Location: Central NJ... well, it doesn't take a detective to figure that one out... I bet if someone was so inclined, they could get his address and report him to the police. I'm sure he'd slip up if you got friendly with him.
Oh my god!!! people are selling these on Ebay??????!!!!! Everybody make sure you post a new thread when you see this!!!! I have never heard of such a thing!!!!! Have there not been threads in the past exposing such treachery????!!!!!!!!!

Despite some of the cry babies about these threads, I think they're very effective! As long as we keep pressure up and screw these auctions up, it makes it harder for the thieves to sell these. If they are starting to sell them through e-bay, they have to be getting desperate. They won't steal that which they can't sell!
Keep up the pressure!

Here's a letter I wrote him, he's gonna love this:
I think its funny that all you sell are maxima HIDs, (this being your third set) which are stolen quiet often. I also think it's interesting how there is no serial numbers on the ballasts in one of your pictures? These don't increase the relale of a car, all they do is jack up insurance rates on maximas and cost the owners thousands of dollars in deductables to the owners. Being the "moneymaker" I'm sure your not concerned with this though. If you wander what I am implying, I am implying that your selling stolen goods on Ebay, which I am writing them a letter as well regarding your actions as well as the others selling maxima HID. If those are legit which I am sure you will say, please kindly provide a receipt from the store you are getting all of the maxima HID kits and who is selling them to you without the housing?
I'll let you know his reply!

Well it took about 10 seconds for a reply and here is what he said:
"maybe cause they are from a swap meet! good work gum shoe!"
He's going to have more than gum on his shoe when I get done with him, his breath is going to smell like shoe polish!

My reply:
"Ebay and the NJ police will be watching you"
The sale of stolen property is strictly forbidden on eBay, and violates state, federal and international law. eBay strongly supports law enforcement efforts to recover stolen property that is listed on its Web site, and urges the prosecution of those responsible for knowingly attempting to sell such items on eBay. Stolen property includes items taken from private individuals, as well as property taken without authorization from companies or governments.
I wonder if he'll take them down?
defintely they are stolen. On the auction page, click on the sellers feedback and there is 2 people that have bought things from him. Both items are Maxima HID lights. This guys just sells Maxima HID. Ebay should ban this guy and should report to the police.
Just in case you guys are wondering this is what he said to me when I sent him an email.
"i got them from a swap meet, back in the summer. I had them in my car, but I
sold it."
Full of **** if you ask me but I did send him another email asking him this.
"Man were can I get sets of these hids without having to pay so much? Any
secrets you would possibbly know of or somthing? Please let me know If you
do have some sort of way Id love to make a business together."
I am trying to be his buddy and see if this guy slips up. I will let you know what he says as soon as I get a reply back from him. See ya later guys.

He must have gotten scared getting emails telling people know they are stolen. He has ended the acution early and did not sell the item. We should all email these ****** when we get info on stolen hids. I saved a very nasty letter in word so all i have to do is copy and past it to the ******. It only takes about 20 seconds to send them the email and if it even scares one seller i feel i have done something. If we all send an email to these guys they may figure its not worth the exposure to try to sell them on ebay.
We really need to keep up the pressure on these guys. If Ebay gets enough complaints they may do something before your hids are stolen, this problem will not be confined to the new jersey and new york areas for long it will be nation wide by the end of the summer if nothing is done to curb it.

We all should probably send an email to Ebay asking them to ban the sell of them due to the high rate of theft. It would be a lot harder to sell without ebay because you are confined to one city and you would have to sell them face to face, which would make people uncomfortable if they were stolen. I knew I would get his attention when I sent that disclaimer from Ebay along with the data dots info. I told him even if he got them at a swap meet they could still be stolen and he would be liable since he had posession of them. Success!
Good work guys. If police won't do much about stolen HID's, atleast we can make it harder for these thieves to sell OUR headlights on Ebay. I don't mind these "stolen HID's on Ebay" threads at all. I for one stay satisfied when I see the auction taken down because no legitimate seller will take the auction down unless its stolen property!

Here was my message:
Due to high theft rates in the northeast, Maxima HID kits/headlights should be added to the "Prohibited and Restricted Items" list. The above auctions (I provided in a separate list) are almost certainly for stolen merchandise. This article details the problem: http://www.identificationtechnologi...s/NJ%20Star.pdf. Thanks.
I think it'd be great if other org members contact Ebay as well. Getting stolen merchandise pulled from ebay is another step in the right direction.
