I have 20% in the rear and sunroof and 35% on the front. I believe 35 is the legal limit here in WA...but I haven't had any problems. Having it dark in the rear really darkens up the front...just don't forget the roof!

i know a good place and you can get a good deal...the only problem is that you live in athens, unless your coming back towards atlatna for the weekend. Let me know if ur interested.

I have 28% Formula 1 tint. That is what I am told is the legal limit in Colorado. Basically I am happy with that, as it is not too dark....but if I had to do it over again, I would probably go with the 35%. I think interior color makes a difference too. I have a Glacier Pearl with frost interior....so that tends to make the tint appear a little lighter. Whatever you do, I recommend using a metallic tint...as they are usually guaranteed against fading or changing color. I would also recommend they do the rear window in 1 piece....that way you don't have to worry about any separation. One other thing....I do get more reflection now, when looking out the side mirrors. Not a major issue....just takes some getting used to. Good luck!

WhoA wait... for the new jersey people.. MaximaPolak, you can have 35% in the front?! i thought that you cant have any in the front and what ever you want in the back. Am i wrong? could of sworn i am right cuz i have a 93 max that had like i dunno 60% it was REALLY light. I didnt even notice it until the guy at the DMV told me to take it off.

Unless you know someone with a reinspection garage of course...

Actually, the difference is probably less noticeable if you have a dark interior, but of course mine is light grey...

Remember, different angles of the same car/tint will show different results. For example, I have 17% tint all around. See the differences in the shots?

Keep in mind also that because the back window is tinted and the windshield is not, the tint in the back will look slightly darker than the tint in the front, even if the tin % is the same all around.

I have 35%. No problems with the cops. BTW the legal limit in Ohio is no tint!!! I wish I would've went with 20%. What I mean is that IMO the light frost interior reflects light and makes the 35% look lighter. Just my $.02.

but how did you install that 350Z Dead Pedal? the prior owner of my car seemed to have muddy feet all the time! I'm looking for a replacement...
I got 32% Endurance tint(Nichrome)all around on my Max,and I love it.Before I got 20% titanium all around on my 91 Intergra,it's too dark and and hard to see at night.I wouldn't put 20% on my rear windshield againt. This pics was taken on a very Sunny afternoon.
Anyone have any pics of 27% metallic reflective tint on a silver car?
I don't really want 20% just for night visibility but I have 35% on another car and it's pretty much not even worth it. I think reflective tint looks good on silver (and only on silver) cars.
Since I'm moving out of state in < 6mo I figure I'd better wait until after I've registered in my new state so the DMV there doesn't give me crap.

17% is not that bad at night. If you have half a brain, you would roll your windows down on a dimly lit street, or if you live in the sticks. So if 17% isn't bad, 20% should be even better. 5% is bad, yes, but 17-20% should not be problematic.
Just my 2 cents: I have 35% tint but it still looks pretty dark because of the black interior. Even the sunroof was done with the same tint.
Whatever you decide to do, do the whole car with the same darkness. Otherwise, the contrast will get cops' attention.

Whatever you do, do it the same % all around. I don't know how strict they are over there, but i'm running 13% and it's perfect. Night visibility is perfect as well, i don't see how some people say it's too dark?
