warranty covered with mods,u think ill pull this one off

so as i posted a few weeks ago my car would not reverse and at 70mph(not at full throttle), my car was redlining at 6300rpms, so i took it to the dealer to see if my transmission is still under warranty, my current mods are a place racing cold air intake, greddy evo, and cattman headers and my 02 sensors are unplugged. I left my car with everything like that under the hood just to see if they could fix it, and surprisingly the sales rep calls and leaves a message that my car will be ready next week and that a new automatic tranny will be replaced. he didnt say nuthing about the mods and i sure didnt say anything either. Is this normal??

seems like your old tranny was missing reverse and 4th gear.

nope...not normal.

usually they turn away warranty works because they cant make much money out of it (cost of labor and parts is determined by Nissan NA). Having power mods is just a perfect excuse for them to deny your warranty repair. cognrats on the new tranny.

Is that really what your car looks like, you haven't photoshopped the picture? If so, that looks nice!

what they "said" before the sale and what they actually *DO* after the sale are completely different.... he got lucky (congrats) and you shouldn't expect to just walk in and get a problem fixed if you have all those mods.

Agreed. Nissan dealers don't exactly have the reputation for going out of their way to make customers happy. That's why, when you find a good dealer/service, stick with them.
