Re: Spark Plugs-Bosch Platinum +4

Any one use Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs in their 02-03 Maxima. I have four brand new ones left over from my old car and was wondering whether or not anyone would recommend their use with the 3.5L engine.

While I am at is where is a good place to get performance spark plug wires.

I would recommend using OEM replacement spark plugs. No need to worry about plug wires because we donn't have them on the VQ35DE.

Well if you run the plantinum fours you will probably need bigger wires. I've got platinum 2's in my car, they feel fine, and they were cheap.

Most people here use NGK or Denso plugs $$$. Not sure about the wires. Local parts store should be able to order them.

BMW still uses Bosch Plugs on their normal production cars but uses NGK in their race cars. The shop I work at only uses NGK and my boss said that for the first several years he had to explain to just about everyone why he was installing NGK plugs in their German cars.

And to my knowledge Bosch still does not make a 26mm plug to fit in the VQ35. I check for this frequently.
