Success!!
Installed the new coil packs and six new spark plugs yesterday w/ my dad. It took around an hour or so b/c we had a problem w/ a spark plug being stuck. It was suprisingly easy though. It is very straight forward and not very complicated. There is no way I would pay the stealer to do this for me for an hour and a half labor! A few things that I found made it go smoother....
-definately have the magnetic rod to put the rear bolts on that hold the coilpack
-use a sparkplug socket w/ the little rubber piece inside so you dont have to fish it out w/ the magnet
-use a spark plug socket w/ a swivel on the end (so it actually goes down in the hole...makes it much easier
-it was a lot easier to pull the electrical plug going to the coil off w/ two people. my dad squeezed the clip and I wiggled the coil pack. we were a little leary of the tab snapping off, so we didnt use needle nose pliers.
Anyway, hope this helps anyone who is debating doing it themselves or letting the dealer do it. It really is a simple install. Good luck, PM me if you have any ???s

It could all just be in my head b/c I was so happy to get this done, but I could almost swear that it is running 10 times better than what it was. The throttle response is incredible now. Also, when I really step on it, it shifts smooth when it jumps up to 6k rpm. It used to almost jerk when you would take it up that high. Now you cant even really feel that. I have yet to check the gas mileage, but I am assuming that it is gonna be substantially better

I bought the parts from south point nissan in texas. tell him you are from maxima.org and you can get the coils for 50 bux each. I bought the plugs from advance auto parts and they were 10 bux each for the platinum tipped plugs (only NGK ones they carried for maximas). I looked and couldnt find them cheaper in my area. Those were the only parts I had, but as far as tools go, see my first post. the swivel w/ the spark plug socket w/ the rubber boot and the magnet are two of the most important tools for making this go quick and easy. Feel free to PM me if you need any more info.
