I'm getting a little banging noise in my suspension only under hard throttle from a stop. It sounds like the Ypipe banging a bout5-10 times. I also notice the noise when I go over a small curb or pothole slow.

Stock struts look good and I have maxspeed springs. I haven't taken anything apart but after some reading seems like its the front strut bearing??

Does anyone have a picture of this part or how to tell if its bad?

Any other sugestions??? Thanx.

control arm? when you accelerate, the joint will move forward/backward a little making the popping, and when you flex the strut, it will make a noise when going up and down.

let me clarify. arm has a joint, that swivels up and down as the spring/shock flexes. that's the normal operation. there shouldn't be play in the joint. it should swivel, but not otherwise move when you yank it either by hand or crowbar. pretty much like a door hinge. should move, but have no play in it.

had that go bad on my 4th gen and it used to creak whenever i hit the gas, since there was enough force to make it move ever so slightly making it pop.

so it's defenitely worth a check.
