Matt can explain it better, but as far as I know, I am the only one with the "blue" DDE's (6500K). Everyone else has the "white" DDE's (4500K). I was the prototype, after all..

Ok, some info:

1) they don't break from vibration, they break from flexing. We've sold over 1000 units of these and invariably that's the answer.

2) manaz - do you have the product in front of you? It makes more sense if you do. The yellow goes to battery, black goes to ground, and red trigger goes to whatever you want to run them off of.

3) we cannot keep up with demand, sorry, we're running a 3-6 day back log on orders. If you are waiting for yours. It's likely yours won't go til Monday of next week. Sorry!

According to Umnitza in the other thread, he stated that we were all supposed to be receiving the 6500K rings, which I guess is what Lithiumax has.

I actually like yours better cause they have a blue look to them. The white ones are brighter though. That's the same with HID bulbs too. My stock bulbs are brighter then my 8000k's but I bought the 8k's for the color not performance. I want the blue blue ones even if it means I can only have them on while sitting.

For this DDE, I think I like the 6500K better...brightness doesn't matter much since it is a purely cosmetic mod for EVERYONE.

With headlight bulbs I wouldn't go over about that rating too, and I'd stick with D2R...

6500K has more visual pop.
BLUE BLUE is only available for the inner rings, not the outer rings.

If you want those, just spcify

The blue shown a couple posts above is not the 6500K. The 6500K is what Lithiummax has on his car. Igor's has the 4500K...

Guys, seriously, the 6500K and the 4500K are indistinguishable in most applications unless viewed side by side.

The 4500K is "theoretically brighter" - although the eye visually detects the 6500K.

I mean the 9000K that I'm running on my car is quite detectable, but it's no where near as bright as the 4500K.

How do I tell? Well, I get a lot more stares with the 9000K, but I also don't see the 9000K as I pull up behind an SUV until at least 30-50ft, whereas when I ran the 6500K, I could detect the rings from at least double that.

Either way, I like both. I do prefer the 6500 though (which is what I'm getting apparently )

i like Lithiummax's prototype DDEs...i just think that his blue looks a lot better than the white rings. don't get me wrong, i still think that the white rings look really good.

Because we have smaller rings for blues all day long but no big ones.

Your car wouldn't look good with blue.

Only black and white cars look good that way.

Maybe maybe maybe silver.

ok Umnitza, Matt, whatever your name is I am posting this for Igor seeing as how he is still banned for another few days.

Approximately 4 weeks ago Igor had his DDE kit installed by your RECOMMENDED installer, John V, located in Maryland.

A few days later Igor noticed that when auto-starting his car-one of the rings didn't light up. Upon closer inspection the ring was CRACKED inside his housing-already siliconed in and all mounted up.

So Igor contacted you and you sent him a replacement ring which was also cracked so you resent another.

Now apparently 1 month later Igor is still left with a partial working DDE kit and John V., your RECOMMENDED installer wants NOTHING to do with Igor his kit or your business on the east coast.

John V states that he is tooo busy to be bothered because of "another job" and DOES NOT want to install Umnitza DDE ANY MORE and has already turned down 3 of your DDE customers!!!!!

This is VERY FRUSTRATING to Igor due to the fact that it was John's error that the ring cracked due to a "kink" in the wiring and now not only is Igor out the $150 for the DDE-$150 for the install and his time wasted but his car looks horrible.

I shall post pix later and hopefully this can be resolved in an amicable fashion.

Please contact Igor at Igor911 on AIM or Igor911@comcast.net

thank you for your anticipated cooperation

so why is this umnitza's problem? all he did was do his job and recommended someone to install something so easy. Igor doesnt have to use John for the install nor does umnitza have control over what goes on after he does his part. everyboody else is doing it on their own and are not having any problems. he has sent Igor all the replacements. Igor should be talking to John and tell Igor ill put the rings in for $75.

dude did you not read correctly? John wants NOTHING to do with them.

This is who Umnitza recommended so that is why Igor went there-he wouldnt have on ANY other circumstance. Besides this has nothing to do with you so please stay out of it

Besides-now how do you think it is logical if at all feasible for him to drive to Kentucky so you can rape him for another $75?? you are a funny cat

All Umnitza did was make a recommendation. Igor could have done some research or found another place to do the install. He didnt have to use John just because Umnitza recommended . He has no control over what John does. The reason i posted was because it was not appropiate to post this problem in the thread. This is a private matter and you should have used the PM feature or email. There are just too many people on here that are always whining. This is not towards you at all since you are just doing a favor for Igor.

this is not me whining. This is me helping a friend out. This is also me commenting on how ****ty this kit is to begin with-it definitely was NOT designed for ppl who live in climates where it isn't sunny and 70 all year round either, but thats neither here nor there.

Like I said, this wasn't directed at you-it was directed at Umnitza but thanks for your concern

I brought this public instead of PM because I want orgers to know what is going on-I dont like blindsiding ppl.
