i know that intakes add a power, but ive also heard they increase fuel economy [under normal driving conditions]; does anybody know approximately how much it increases fuel economy...like how many more mpg u can get?
thanks

You may get better mileage. But it's more likely that you will push your car harder to feel the performance benefit of the intake then, you will see a mileage decrease.

Truer words were never spoken. Unless you drive your Maxima like the proverbial little old lady, you're going to get sh*tty gas mileage anyway. So I say, go for the gusto!

OSCAI

I've searched on OSCAI info and I can't seem to find a definitive answer to the question "Where is the best place to place the outside end of the intake?" I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts, experiences or photos (of the section of OSCAI in question) on this specific portion of the apparently almighty OSCAI.

The easiest and safest thing to do is put the intake end of the tubing inside the bumper skirt near the bottom of the Air Silencer. That way there's very little chance of foreign material entering the OSCAI and clogging your air filter.
