I just spent $665 to replace all 6 ignition coils on my 2000 SE because my service engine soon light came on.

 

It's a shame you didn't post BEFORE you got them replaced, we could have saved you $350 or so You can order them from Dave B. for a little bit over $300 shipped.

 

Will the coils from a 2K1, 2K2 or 2K3 Max work in the 2K Max?

Which are compliant?

 

Wow, someone in that thread was charged over $200 to replace one coil and another person $1000 to do all six!!!

This is such a common problem it is obvious it's a major defect and Nissan should either fix them for free or at least reduce the price of the repair.

What are signs that coils need to be replaced?

 

The car throws an SES light and then begins misfiring. It's pretty bad and if it happens to you while stuck in traffic like mine did, you start to feel really bad. You have an 03' you don't have to worry about it.

 

yah mine was about 670 bucks. it happend at about 38k miles...2k over warrenty....
