not enough weight in front/crappy tire traction get some sticky tires then you can do it with the best of them But then you will wearout your tires faster....

it's called "wheel hop" do a search on google and read up on it. Don't keep on doing it because it will destroy your trans.

wheel hop... no fun. get some solid motor mounts to help cure it, thast what I was told. It happens on FWD cars with lots of torque

You drive a maxima. Have a little class and don't burn out all the time. Ricers and rednecks burn out, they just use different wheels to do it......Besides, burning out just wastes your tires. Good driving can minimize wheel hop, as can tires, motor mounts, and other factors.

I agree, good driving with modulation of the gas pedal can minimize wheel hop.

Reckless driving? Ouch. Buddy of mine got his infraction lowered to "exhibition of speed" for burning out - he was very cooperative with the cops.

cop said it was "reckless" because he "didnt have full control of car and could hit someone".

I'm glad you put camera on my maxima, and know what i do ALL the time, and who are you to criticize me about what type of class i got. You don't know me, you're on the other side of the country. You should stop making assumptions about s**t you don't know, you didn't even put any input into this post except agree with our fellow maxima members on the tires and the motor mounts. Besides who doesn't like to see a little smoke every once in a while? and yes i do drive a maxima, this is the maxima forum. Thanx for reminding me

more judging...i'm not impressing anyone. If i wanted to impress someone by burning rubber, i would buy a Z06. But that's not my main motive, sorry for wondering how my car acts once in a while.

Thanx for the input from everyone else that isn't so judgemental. I'm going to look into those motor mounts.

man, so defensive.....chill

If you're gonna post here, you gotta assume that many people who DON'T KNOW YOU will respond.....and that none of them has a "camera" on your maxima. If you only want responses from people on "your side of the country", why don't you post your thread in the "West Coast" forum?

By the way, my "input" to the post was: "Good driving can minimize wheel hop...." which no one had said yet when I posted it. So there

burn outs are a waste of money since u have to buy new tires...if ur racing and get some slippage thats understandable but just burning out for fun is not wise..
