BOTH of mine are cracked, the only thing i can think it might be is the cold rain and snow or even just the cold temps on the hot lens

Both of mine are cracked and held sealed by the Clearguard. I've already replaced my passenger one once. It is definately the aftermarket bulbs. They burn hotter and the glass can't take the heat differential from it. I run PIAA Extreme Whites but won't trade them for something cooler. The color match is perfect and the clearguard 40 mil plastic keeps it sealed for me.

My driver's side has been cracked for awhile now...just been lazy to replace it...

I think these foglights are only sold in pairs, so you might wanna try to find someone who needs the other side.

They can be bought individually, but it is much more economical to buy the complete kit which includes a new light control stalk for the steering wheel.

I thought I was the only one whose fog lights ever cracked. But mine was an aftermarket one (Hella angel eyes). Took it back to the store and told them it was defective... they bought it.

How can you be sure that it's the PIAA bulbs? Are you using the 85 watt bulbs?I have been using Xtreme whites for nearly 2 years in my fogs w/o any problems with my lenses.

I know a stone didn't do it on either (due to the clearguard - not a scratch).
But, I do have my fogs on ALWAYS when my headlamps are on and just fogs and running lamps in early morning and dusk - Always.

So, I guess it shouldn't surprise me. They are the 55watt bulbs. You've been lucky methinks. Do you have big temp changes where you live?

We have big changes during the winter. It doesn't get as cold in NW Florida as it does in the northern states but it does get cold at times. One day it can be 60º and the next day 30º. I don't always use my fogs when driving. I always have my headlights on when driving. I use my fogs during dusk, fog and rainy weather.

My passanger side broke with the stock bulbs...and I think (although I haven't looked at it lately) the driver's side is starting to spiderweb as well from the heat.

The only problem I have with the "my hot fog bulbs cracked my fogs" theory is many of the people I've seen without aftermarket bulbs also have cracked fogs. When shopping for my max I saw a couple cars off rental maximas with cracked fogs. I guess there are likely two causes: Heat and rocks.

I'm running PIAA Super Plasma 55w fogs protected with 3M clear bra and I don't run them when the temp is below 40 degrees. So far, so good.

Don't be scurred, turn them things on. What's the use of having them if you can't use em?

I have the same thing...cracked pass fog. OEM bulb. Doesn't look like a rock impact starring is there. Can we just replace the lens, or do we need a whole new assembly?
