G35C outcome

This is a VQ35DE battle...my lightly modded Maxima (255hp) vs. Steve's G35 coupe (285hp). We gave it 3 runs...1st run sux b'coz two slow-*** cars blocked us. Second run, I had a bad launch aka "burnout" and Steve went ahead by a car...I slightly pulled within to his back bumper then he started walking me...I lost by a car at 110. Third run, I smoked him from the get-go, he hit the rev limiter on 1st gear. I went ahead by a car by 80...he then started to pull back...dead even from 100-120. I was impressed by the outcome of hanging in w/ a g35c.

I raced a 350z stick a while back to about 70MPH. It was dead even.

G35 likely a manual since he "hit the rev limiter on 1st gear"
i guess he could be manually shifting his auto....

Sounds like a good drivers race. Course you do have the same VQ under the hood...

The members of this org do not condone street racing of any kind

... g35c is slower than the sedan, i got a chance to see a sick "track race" between a maxima on the org (2k2) and a g35 sedan. Its close, but of course the maxima is heavily modded where as the g35 only had an intake and stillen catback.

Well a while back their a are a few people at G35driver.com or something like that that own both 02 Maximas and G35 Sedans and their Maximas are putting down slightly better times. Several threads on it so the Max doesnt have to be modified to hang with a G35 sedan.

I have had battles wihth G35 sedans and coupes.

The coupes are approximately 200lbs heavier. My best friend has one.

I raced 2 g35coupes. from off the line, its a dead heat. usually + or - a car length at all times.

A 350Z is faster than any maxima/g35coupe/sedan/altima as it is much lighter than the g35coupe.
