Camber Adjustment/Eibach

Just ordered the Eibach lowering kit with illuminas ($700 southwestauto), can't wait!! Do I need to worry about the camber kit?? Will they be able to adjust everything at the shop?

How did you know your alignment was fine? Just because your steering wheel is not off center doesn't mean your alignment is in spec.

You always get an alignment done after a suspension mod.

My mechanic checked it out, and the car goes perfectly straight on flat road at 100. That and my other mechanic who usually does my alignments took it for a test drive to check out my suspension mods and my alignment. Ive had my alignment messed up and corrected enough times that I can tell if its off by much. I will get it aligned one of these days, but it seems fine and my tires are wearing fine so i dont really care at the moment.

nfisher,
Im certainly not saying you shouldnt get it aligned. Im just saying dont worry about the camber kit. I dont think you will need it.

As for me, I like to see numbers printed out on a sheet so I can look at the before and after. I recently had alignment done (regular maintenace) even though my car was going straight but after looking at the numbers (camber, caster, toe, etc), they were out of spec.

With Eibach, you will not need a camber kit. You will be just fine.

I like to see numbers too i just didnt see why i should bother paying for an alignment when two trusted mechanics made the measurements and test drove the car, and i would want another alignment after the suspension settled. I will be getting an alignment to make sure once the im sure the suspension has settled completely. There isnt much you can adjust on our cars anyway unfortunately. There rear alignment is not adjustable and you cant change the caster or camber in the front, just the toe.

Can you scan those alignment sheets where the mechanic changed your caster? I would be really interested to see that.
