I dont have this problem all the time, maybe 10% of the time but it still scares the hell out of me those times that I cant stop.

YES, THANK YOU!! That is exactly where I'm coming from!! Much appreciated comment. Thank you.

yeah, i tried that. but then i have to straight-arm the steering wheel.
i don't know. i'm thinking of maybe just getting rid of the car altogether before i end up rear-ending somebody or worse.

99% of the time I drive with my hands on the wheel its that other 1% of the time that I try to steer with my knees while I am talking on the cellphone and giving someone the finger that I am worried about not being able to turn. I think I am going to sue Nissan.

I HAVE A SOLUTION.

1. WALK
2. DRIVE THE OTHER CARS
3. STOP DRIVING SO CLOSE TO OTHER CARS
4. PAY ATTENTION TO TRAFFIC
5. QUIT COMPLAINING

this is just instinct for me and most other people.
btw, the braking picture was "slamming" and i stopped just fine. notice my heel is still touching the ground.
so take note of these picture. this is the PROPER way to drive. drive like this and you wont have a problem. if i dont have a problem with a size 13 there is NO reason you should.
By the way you have a big brake pedal and NO clutch. Since you dont drive stick your posts and pics are Irrelevant. Congrats you can drive an automatic as well as a 12 year old.

they are not irrelevant! it was to show that the heel does not have to leave the ground. i dont care if you have a clutch or not you can reach the "small" brake pedal the same way. so if you have a small pedal then your foot will hit? that is stupid. yes i can drive an auto and i know i could drive a manual better then you so shut it

For your information, I have often driven the car with size 12 work/hiking boots whose large soles, etc. are well along the lines of a 13 dress/casual shoe with NO problems. AND....I DO drive a stick!!!

That was mature....and a great way to undermine your own arguments. Tough to take anyone seriously who has to resort to juvenile comments like that.

Listen man.. Go to driving school and the first they will teach you is the possition of foot on the brake and gas peddel. When you accelerate it should be like this / when you brake, the heal stays where it was and your toes go like this \ . Good luck with ur next car, but learn to drive first.

Da Breaks

Yeah, uh, well...I own a 2001 SE AE. I also wear a size 13 shoe and have no problem breaking. I really dont think that you should be breaking with your heel man. That's probably the dangerous part. The responsiveness, agility, and power of your ankle is WAY enough to get you to stop promptly if you just break with the ***** of your foot/middle foot. That's just my take on it.
