Technosquare not invisible?
Technosquare not invisible?
Could be a bluff but check out this discussion on MY350Z.

I am still planning on getting this ECU flash. It doesn't matter to me because my warranty may already be void.

From what I have discussed with Cheston, the dealer will not "see" the flash unless they specifically go looking for it. And even then, it would take a seriously trained eye. Furthermore, dealers have been instructed by Nissan to only reflash the ECU if there is a recall or a very specific reason to do so. Reason being that they do not want owners coming in for flashes everytime a new version comes out. That being said, the chance of the dealer f'n up the flash is pretty low.

We can see the new program and any tech will try to find a reason to not work on your car for the sh*tty warranty labor rates. The flashed ECU is an easy way out for factory techs and easy for them to see w/ Consult. Don't fool yourself. I talk with our Nissan/Infiniti product engineers often and they know what the owners are modding.
I believe the ECU reflash to be the BIGGEST warranty killer, it IS the engine management system and will be the first place we check when you have engine problems. Any problems will be potentially on your tab. Steer clear.

they can see the flash, or more precisely, they can see something has been done, if they look. I tried 2 different dealerships today, (because the first wouldn't give me an explanation of why it didn't work), to get my technosquare ecu reflashed back to stock. The 2nd one showed me the error message, which was something along the lines of ecm mismatch, or in other words, the consult II no longer recognized my ecm as a valid unit.
Reason for going back to stock is a stillen supercharger upgrade I am installing on sunday, not due to any problems with the technosquare. I spent over 2000 on upgrades for 15hp, and decided NA isn't worth it.
Technosquare is reflashing for me, so it isn't a problem.

That's the summary FWIW.

Quick and Ice - True.
Killer - My bad for commenting on the spelling error. That was lame. Maybe I misunderstood the tone of your first response. If so, my bad on that, too. What can I say, it was late. If I did read the right tone in your post, then I wasn't overreacting, but that doesn't matter either way.
Just trying to share what other forums are saying about TS.

TS can copy/imprint your stock ECU onto any other applicable ECU for the same model. And yes, I got mine from Car Part online pimpjuice...

Actually, they do not mention a cost at all for that procedure. I'm just guessing, but if you send them in at the same time, I guess they'll just do it all for the ~$500...
