my car = POS

yes its correct. went to dealer for same problem and they just replaced the samething. they did not check my engine light or my why my transmission light came on. not only that but they did not perform the crank sensor recall sayin my car doesnt seem to be in big trouble now...so wut they gonna wait til my car just stops in the middle of the road and i get in a big accident?? im just sooo frustrated wtih the service department and my POS 2k3. i swear my 2k2 had no problems at all...on the brighter side my cousin , finance manager, gave me the keys to a new radiant ember 2k4 to use as a loaner... thats rite a new 2k4 as a loaner because the service department would not give me a loaner so i can go home...come on guys if you have a 2003 maxima, it should not be towed to a dealer because brakes failed...it failed because they didnt fix the problem the first place. now they replace the same part and think its gonna be ok?? watch my brakes lock up again and someone is gonna sued...I HATE YOU NISSAN SERVICE DEPARTMENT (HERB GORDON of SILVER SPRING, MD) PLEASE DONT GO THERE

I think Nissan is obligated to perform the recall. Call Nissan North America right away and tell them you were refused recall work. That will get their attention.

Thats what Len Stoler Nissan in MD said to me 2 weeks ago. "Nothing is wrong with the car"

I called Nissan and they didn't give a ****. I'm never buying another nissan again

Heh, thank god I cancelled my extended warranty and resigned myself to do most/all work myself

I've heard the Heritage Nissan in Westminster is pretty decent, but I don't want to find out.

Nissan has determined that some 2000-2003 model year Nissan vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. The engine might stop running while being driven if the crank position sensor or cam position sensor fails. This may also result in the "Service Engine Soon" light coming on or reduced engine power. If the engine stops running while driving, this could result in a crash without warning.

Last time I checked, Gooey and Igor, you both have VQ35 powered Maxima's... Nissan's OWN friggin website says you can have a wreck if this situation is not addressed. Who does your dealer think he's kidding. That's EXTREMELY poor service.

I would call all the news stations and offer them a story like that on a silver platter, you and Gooey's dealers are just begging to get nailed like a cheap you know what.

Herb Gordon has been going downhill of late... they used to have a pretty decent service department... turns out that hasn't been the case of late. I am just down the street from them in Burtonsville...

I got mine from them brand new as well back in 2000... I bet their sales dept is ok, but their service dept has been not so great lately...

I'm not saying they gave the Max away. But the price was certainly fair...they gotta make a living too. If your cousin ripped you off the first time...why would you go back??

Also try Brown's fairfax Nissan...they've always been straight with me, as was Brown's FFX Honda when I took my accord and integra there. At Brown's Fairfax Nissan ask for Matt C. who's one of the service managers, he's a good guy and hooked me up with free work that my warranty specifically said WASN'T covered, they covered it anyways and I didn't even buy the car there (I bought it at Brown's Sterling Nissan - same company obviously)...
