Extended Warantee refund

Has anyone decided to get the extended warantee when they bought their car then decided later that they didnt need it? I am thinking about dropping it and getting some money back. Has anyone done this? Is it possible? What amount of refund should I be getting with only 17k miles (still in original warantee) on the car? The one I have now is a 7year standard/7 year powertrain/ 100k mile warantee.

first of all, it is a WARRANTY
and to answer your question..it depends on policy of each company!!
read the paperwork that you signed when you got it. it will have the companies policy for refunds.
most likely if you do get a refund, it will be pro-rated. even if you have never used it, you wont get back what you paid. the only time you would need/want to cancel is if you are selling the car

as long as you bought it from the dealer, yes you can easily.

Call 1800-Nissan1 and speak to a customer service rep...give them your VIN # and prolly Nissan policy #..they prorate it based on mileage and when you bought it (usually 9 times outta 10-you lose very little)

good luck!

but just FYI if you bought AT LEAST a silver preferred plan, you might wanna hold onto it because if you have problems with the car the ext warranty guarantees you a loaner car at no charge

food for thought homez
