Bose CD Skipping
Bose CD Skipping
I'm new to this forum, so this subject may have been beat into the ground but I have a 2002 GLE with the Bose system and the CD skips when it's cold. I've had it replaced once already. I've been hearing that this is a common problem and was wondering if Nissan or Bose is doing anything about it? What can I do except replace the current piece of junk with a new piece of junk? Can I make them install a CD changer or a different brand stereo under the warranty? It just ****es me off to spend $26,000 on a car w/ a stereo that doesn't work right?
I've contacted them all:
Nissan is "aware" of the problem, but is not looking to re-source the stereos. Bose is "aware" that their name is on the stereo, though they don't make it--Clarion does. Clarion is "aware" and as far as I can tell doesn't give a crap.
I got my latest one installed in December and so far so good -- survived a Michigan winter.
