It's more than 1 year old and have no complaints.
pros:
- keeps tranny fluid temp cooler on highways
- prolongs the tranny life
cons:
- If the vents are open, you can feel the warm air blowing off the cooler into the car. (you didn't think the cooling came without a price, did ya )
- (suspected, unproven) slight lag in fluid pressure build because of the added cooler and lines to the fluid path.

Changed it to Mobil ATF around 14k, after seeing all the tranny posts. It was worth the money in my opinion. I did a flush using the 2 bottles and clear hose technique.
If you can search, I had a write up waaaay back, complete with gasket part # from Dave B. I bought 12 bottles, but used 10+.

I’m totally bummed out about this whole tranny situation.

I’ll be very honest; if I could I would swap mine for a 6 speed in a heartbeat. I may even be in the market for one, depending on how the repair goes…
I went with an auto so that my wife could drive it too, but am now thinking it was the wrong move… If I do keep it, I’m defiantly adding a tranny cooler!

Since the 4th of April 04 I have made 14 visits to the track and 131 passes on my 2k2 auto trans.
Only mods are B&M cooler, Mobil 1 and drop resistor mod. Car has 45k on it.
Still running strong and I even got my fastest N/A time of the year on Sunday a 13.53 and a 1.98 60' which is my first sub 2.0 N/A.
About half of those runs were with nitrous running in the low 12 region and 1.7-1.8 60's so it hasn't been babied.
Maybe its just the luck of the draw.
