Y-pipe install question

ok i got my y pipe yesterday and im trying to put it on now. car is on ramps and all the bolts have been sprayed down with WD40. i removed the metal cover thing that covers the whole thing.
SO.....
how the hell do you get to the bolts that connect pipe to rear manifold? i can see them but they are behind the precat and i cant get to them.
and im still worried about snapping the bolts cause they are REALLY rusted. would using a wire brush on them help any? or just lots of WD40?
