black cloth, looks okay (at least it doesn't have wierd colors in the seat, like pink and purple, i've seen some domestic cars like that, fugly), the seats feel nice, the fabric i mean.

Frost leather.
Question to those with leather, do you have any leather damage where the seat beat buckles into the lock area? Especially around the side booster area? Mines does.

Put a small towel there, and that should prevent any further damage. I noticed an indentation on the seat and immediately put a towel there, so no damage occured, but others have had this problem too.

Black leather. Very easy to keep clean, if you use a cleaner and separate conditioner. Personally, I use Mother's products exclusively. Don't use those cheap all-in-one cleaner/conditioners, they don't work as efficiently. Use an attachment on a shopvac to remove small debris from the stitching and crevices in the leather. A soft-bristle toothbrush also works great at removing dust and small bits of dirt, etc.

Yeah, I plan to do something like that when my dealer replaces the leather. I have to wait for the field representative from Nissan to swing on by my area to look at it first. There no TSB on this so the dealer doesn't know what to do yet b/c the problem could come back if new leather is put on. Just more waiting again, but it will be covered under the 3yrs/36000mile warantee.

It's such a pain, cause it wears down pretty fast from what I hear. Also, since you probably drive farther than I do everyday, the seat belt buckle rubs more against the leather.

Frost leather, still clean and smooth.

Even in Houston, the seat warmers are really comfy when it's a little cool out! They probably aren't at all necessary this far south, but you gotta get 'em if you want side-impact air bags, and I did, so I got 'em.

Black leather

Has anyone looked closely at their leather seat? I think the sides are vinyl just like the door panels. Only the back and butt contact areas are leather. Very sneaky and cheap of Nissan.

Don't worry about it. Nissan is NOT the only company to do this. Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Acura 3.2TL, Infinity I30, to name a few also do this. Its not only cheaper, but I think its very nice. You don't sit on the sides of your seats so I don't find any reason why they shouldn't do it. If you want all leather interior, go Audi

Frost Leather - Heated

But I wish I had the seats from my '98 SE. Those were a heck of a lot more comfortable than the '01. Maybe I just need to wait for the butt-mold to take shape

Every brochure out there (except for the super luxury cars)
state the leather is only on the seating surfaces (back and butt). Other minor areas are covered w/ vinyl.

Blonde leather... It's harder to keep clean than black leather, but I was dreading the black leather in my black I30t during the hot Texas summers... Last summer especially was a torture!

50% Platinum tint pics

I'm workin on gettin some pics posted, but i've gotta buy a digital camera first. I've pretty much narrowed it down to two cameras: the Hewlett-Packard 315 (2.1 megapixels, 1600x1200 resolution, 2.5x zoom) OR the Olympus D-360L (1.3 megapix, 1280x960 reso, 2x zoom). Both approx. $300.

I know it seems obvious which one to pick, but i was wonderin what everyone else uses to take pics, and any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

THANX!!!
