I just went to Kragen for an air filter and they tell me that it is not available for the 2K's.
Can some one tell me if they are and where can i get one?

its the same as the one for the 99 models just look up 3.0L V6 DOHC engine under maxima in the book and the k&n filter fits our gens too...thats what i did...the only difference between those and the actual 2k ones is a little piece of filler that holds the 2k k&n in better (it is a little loose but it fits perfectly fine)

The part # is NM33-2031-2. I have a K and N in my 2000 maxima SE. I cant remember the name of the auto parts store but it is located in West Covina, directly across from the West Covina mall. Its on the north side of the 10 fwy. Id suggest calling auto zone or other auto parts stores in your area. Where in SOCAL are you located Fairlaner???

I needed the #. K&N did not even have it on their site. Thanks.

Glad you found it. I have a feeling the guy at Kragen was a moron (hope he wasn't a friend), because I live in MS (thanks a lot, USAF) and the (color slightly left of orange)-neck behind the counter at my local Autozone had no trouble finding the part number and filter for me. I'll second the need for an OSCAI. I put mine in and there is an appreciable difference with the K&N filter.
