I picked up my car from the dealership. They replaced the "immobilizer," or so the service manager told me. I believe it has to do with the NVIS/NATS system. Apparently it cost around $200 (warranty covered it). The car runs just the same. I had cleaned the TB before the problem, didn't notice much difference. I'm concerned that if I reinstall my Berk Intake, the same thing will happen.

Has thing thing ever gone bad and/or have to been replaced for anyone?

 

The NATS/NVIS is the "Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System", ie anti-theft security system, which has NOTHING to do with your intake or throttle-body.

So go ahead and reinstall it.

 

The reason why I'm worried is that the same time it went bad was coincidentally right after I installed the intake.

 

Coincidence IMO...IF true that the NVIS failed.

What was the car doing before you took it in? Turning over, but not starting?

 

Yes, it wouldn't fire but would turn.
