Is this normal for 2k2 headlights?

I installed the 2k2's on my 2k, but I notice whenever I first hit the switch to turn them on, for about a half a second they come on with that brownish color light then the intensity gradually increases to the bright white. This all happens in about a half second, but I was wondering was it normal?

Oh okay, I thought it maybe a sign of shortage or bad power supply.

Thanks

Not really brown, but like OEM bulb color.

Yeah i like how it does that...it gradually goes from halogen looking to a nice blue hue and finally to a white with a slight hint of blue

You are probably seeing the light from your fogs first, then the HID as it warms up. Try turning off your fogs before turning on the lights and I bet you won't see the "brown" or halogen light first, you will just see the HID warm up.

Yea, it's supposed to go from blue to white. I've never seen HIDs start up in halogen colors.

yeah, HID startup is very beautiful lol. Projectors are even cooler when they start. I remember seeing this S-Class flip his lights on when he was behind me on teh highway and it was like an explosion of light whe they first fired hehehehe.
