Heys guys,

Whats happening? Just wanted to holla before i ask any questions and such... i bought my 2002 max new back in march '02.. have 40k miles on it now.. its a 6spd with all opt. including the navi system. I havent modded too much due to money constraints, but so far just tinted windows, added some foglights underneath the car, have 2 JL audio 12W0's subs with a rockford amp..pushing like 130 watts to each speaker.. and in process of putting blue LED's underneath seats and dash for a nice nightime glow..

So any other chicago players out here?

First question.. is installing an A/F gauge reltively simple? And what is the advantage of doing so other than it looking cool? lol.. holla back...peace.

Installing an A/F with no form of boost is basically worthless, unless you want to look cool/rice.

Not to mention the AF gauges are worthless when you have boost anyways.

<----envious of the nav!!!!

But not at all jealous of 130 watts to a sub. What are the RMS specs for the subs? Get them some power and watch your rearview mirror struggle to hang on!

I bought the system when i was 16...so its a bit outdated... but no worries, rearview still shakes quite a lot and i am heard..lol..

i have the factory fogs with PIAA lights... but i also added fogs , yes udnerneath the car, at the widest spots, where the splash cover thing attahces right in front of the wheels... it looks very cool.. but serves almost no funtion as the facotry brights r pretty damn bright.. im big on looks i guess...

whats a good muffler i can buy that provides a deep yet louder than usual sound? any suggestions? thanks..

ps. you dont need the pillar, its rice. why do you need 6 sources of light? i dont even think that would look nice. and you are going to scrape it on something. and you might get pulled over for that. most states only allow 4 lights in the front (2 headlight + 2 fogs)

The extra set of fogs are yellow, and i like how they look tucked away like they are....i have tried to get them to scrape.. under normal driving cond. they wont..

I usually dont have both sets of fogs on at the same time...but besides..the term rice is way over used... how about personal preferance? i mean we all do the modding thing cuz we wanna make our cars unique or just kill time or whatever.. so who cares bout rice or not? And the cops really dont care about lights in downtown chicago, plus i drive maybe twice a week so no biggie.

and thanks for the link, ill check it out...

i'll hope to have pics up sometime.. but w/o a digi cam or scanner its a bit difficult..

What up Mo. As a matter of fact, there are a bunch of us Chicago people rolling around. A bunch of the Chicagoland Maxima guys (25+ Nissans/Infinitis) are heading to Byron to race this Saturday, weather-permitting. Check out the link:

See ya around.

I don't know if anybody from Downtown or S/SE side is coming. So far we have over two dozen cars coming out, I figure we are all gonna show one way or another. Track opens at 10am. Cost is either $20 or $25.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=300270 <--link to our caravan up to Byron on Saturday morning. Im planning this caravan to get to the track a little bit after 10am. If you plan on attending, make sure to have the Ipass or a bunch of change handy, a lot of tolls (like 4) going up to Byron.
