While driving, I found this
I was driving on the way home from a store at the stop light this morning, I noticed my windsheild had a blue line about four inches. I thought it was a string. So I pull my windsheild washer and the line was there. I looked closer, I realized the glass was cracked. I thought, what's the Hell?@!?? Soon as I got home, I went to look closely how did I get a crack, this what I found and it was hard for me to believe it's possible. A speck of chip pit. So I figure it can be repaired. I called glass shop to get an estimate. Soon as I'm ready to take it there, when I got in my car, my glass got worse, it went from a 4 inch line to over 12 inches. I was infuriating that I have to replace the whole thing. The problem is the glass shop around town doesn't have my OEM windsheild due to the fact that I have this black shade around my rearview mirror mount and it has a sensor behind it. I was ticked off. Did anyone had to get their replace, how much did it cost and was it exact Nissan OEM windsheild? Cost is a factor since my deductible is 500 bucks and I don't want to claim it if replacing it cost less than the deduction.
my windshield also has a crack that size. i took my car to CarSpa to get it cleaned, and they told me that they can repair it for $30. they warranty their work, and if the crack shows up again after they fix it, they will replace the entire windshield.
I just found out how much a windsheild gonna set me back since the crack is already beyond into line of sight driving. *drum roll* a WHOPPING $617 just for a windsheild. My jaw dropped when I found out.
From driving on the highway ,and with the rocks flying from the truck tires, and me stupid i always get close to any thing in the front of me.
A 3mm rock flu in to my windshield making big hole .It look like some one try to kill me with a gun.Its ugly and you can see it night and day.
the repair guy say it will cost $80.

yup, my insurance fixed it for free. The refused to do a Nissan replacement due to the cost, over $600. The OEM replacement runs about $250 for them. Most insurance companies replace the windshield for free. They also replaced the front passanger window for free as well. It got chipped from a rock as well.
