Newbie Here!
Well I finally did it. I left my 92 Honda Accord and switced over to a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE. I love the car, but I am new to the scene. I am going to get my windows tinted on wed, but I really want to know how much hp I can get from a cold air intake. I don't want one that is so loud either, because I do have to take clients out in it. I know there wasn't much difference on my 4 cyl, so im hoping I can get more power from a v-6. Anyone more experienced in what type of intakes there our out there for our cars? I know I liked AEM for honda, but reading the posts in here, it seems everything is different. Any advice that I can do to my new baby would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check out the Berk Intake in the GD section. It isn't a cold air intake but in terms of price, quality and performance, it might be your best buy. Either that or you can look into a true CAI, but more intensive installation is involved with those.

Welcome.
I have a Place Racing CAI from Cattman. First of all you have to cut a 3" hole behind the battery to do a CAI.
At less than WOT it sounds stock, but at full throttle it is pretty loud especially at 4500 RPM and up. I am thinking somewhere around 4-5 hp might be right.
You could be likely to blow more MAF sensors.
Donate $20 and spend a lot of time searching. It is money very well spent.

I did the exact same switch. I had a 92 Honda Accord and switched to a 2000 Maxima SE. I have almost the same mileage, more power, more room, more features. My 92 Accord was smashed by someone and I got $4000 for it last year.
When I got the Maxima, I said that I wouldn't mess with it by adding mods. Haha...10 months later, I did more to my Max than I did to my Accord in 3 years.
Enjoy!

Strange...me too...went from a 92 Accord EX coupe (black) to a 2k Maxima SE (black)....I loved that honda it was a great car, but I don't miss it one bit now that I have the maxima!
Don't bother with intake as your first mod - get a rear sway bar. It's the single most effective mod you can do to to make your maxima better. For $100-200 it will handle MUCH better. Intake is nice too, but doesn't give you more than a few hp....(I have a Frankencar intake, which is similar to the Berk, just fyi...)
