Need easy way to re-set "service engine light"

While replacing the fuel filter on my Max. during startup, due to temperary
low fuel pressure, the "service engine soon" light came on.
Is there a simple way to turn this off and re-set it without going to a
mechanic?
thanks

These procedures from Technosquare indicate they are for the 350Z, but works also on Maxima.

Just disconnect your battery for a couple of minutes then reconnect, should be off.

Drive it for 3 days or so. After several successfull driving cycles if the PCM detects no more faults it will remove the code from memory automatically and turn the SES light off.

I disconnected the battery overnight and in the morning and when I woke and reconnected the battery the SES light was gone. But it came back the next day. (O2 sensor) Don't let that happen to you

You can also go to an auto parts store like AutoZone or PepBoys etc and use their OBDII scanner to read the code and then clear it. Just hook it up to the plug under the steering column. Fast, free, and easy... I have been using it to help me fight my coil problem...
