Stolen keys, help!!

This past sunday while working out some mo. fo. cut my lock and stole my car keys including the remote control. Luckily he didn't have time to look for the car. I called my dealer and they told me it would cost about $250 to cut a new key and reprogram everything. Does anybody here know how hard is to program the key and the remote control?
I'm cancelling my gym membership with bally's they suck. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks E.

I think the key has to be done at the dealer, but im not sure. It has a special chip in it. The remote can be programmed yourself, its in the forums somewhere, but i dont remember the link, and i cant search.

Oh, and dont buy the key and fob from the dealer. I know you can get a remote on ebay for around $10/15 (dealer will charge you $110+ ) and the key for a little bit more.

Dude, you need the car REKEYED...not just a new key cut for the existing one. If you lost your keys I.E. stolen...odds are slim someone will match it up...but it could be possible....key will ALWAYS open the car, just not start it.

Good luck...check with your insurance to see if you can get any coverage for it. Not sure if it would even fall under the policy anyway.

Here is a link to get blank keys and fobs. I ordered from them, and had dealer program the key. Worked fine. http://www.chipkeys.com/
