everytime i go thru the gears @wot...i hear air ****ing out and when i am sitting still and rev the max up to about 5000rpm i hear the same sound when the rpm's comes down to about 2500 and then it goes away shortly after that. i have felt for leaks but have found none..what's the deal??

 

Well, I assume you used new gaskets at the exhaust ports so there should not be any leaks assuming the bolts are torqued correctly. Remember that you need to retorque the bolts after a week or so. May also be leaking around an o2 sensor so check those also. If none of those work, get under the car and check the connections down there.

I Get The Same Noises With My Hot Shot Headers And I Already Retorqued The Screws All Over Again But I Guess Thats Just The Way They Sound Because I Havent Found Any Leaks Either .

 

i think i have a little leak which is why i am going to retorque the bolts on the cat. before i heard that, i thought i was either vibrating on a heat shield or had a leak but it turned out thats how my setup sounds with the stock muffler. sr20den reved it up while i standing outside and the noise was coming from the muffler.

 

I have not heard anything that resembles what you are describing. I have an automatic. I'll listen more closely tonight.
